Summer Is Overrated

For kids up until their senior year of high school each coming summer just gets better and better, and more filled with freedom and opportunity, and teachers only add to this freedom by giving us more and more homework. With their heightened senses they can tell that having school for 9 months out of the year just isn't enough, and that there is no time for break. Oh, they are just so considerate giving chapters to outline here, and essays to write there, and they don’t even mind the fact that other teachers are giving us homework as well. It’s almost hard to swallow how much teachers care about our education, it just never stops. They care even when they are not getting paid to care, that’s how considerate they are. They care during winter break, spring break, and they care they most during summer vacation. While they are lying on the beach having a relaxing day they take the time to make sure that our brain is stilling learning things by taking the time to assign us homework. Oh, but it not just the teachers I would like to thank, but the sports administration for making preseason start earlier, I hated going vacation in Martha’s Vineyard the second week of August any way. I mean how gross is the beach and sand between your toes, and the disgusting fresh taste of lobsters and crabs that have been caught from the sea just that morning. I mean Yuck! And don’t even get me don’t even get me started on the ocean I mean if I wanted a salt water glow I can just swim in a salt water pool. But thanks to the sports administration I don’t have to deal with this awful experience thank to them for the last 4 weeks of my summer I will be in the bliss that is South Orange, Maplewood, playing soccer in one-hundred degree weather, running sprints up floods hill, and if I am lucky, which most of the time I am in this area, I will still have homework to do.  Thanks to the Columbia High School Administration I will be both mentally and physically in shape.  Between school, a job, and soccer my summer is virtually non-existent, and I am so happy about it; actually it makes me even happier that I am following the almost direct wishes of Chris Christie. He is my hero.  I mean sure I am working really hard now, and I may be completely burned out by the time I get to college, but it only the rest of  my life ahead of me, no big deal.

"Who Would ever wanna do something like this, I'd rather stay home!"
